Day 6 - Saturday, April 29, 2023

EWHA

Not sure where to go on that day but I found a place to eat nearby that area. It was still quite rainy when I arrived at Ewha. I went out around lunch time and went to Mr. Seowang Mandu Ewha Womans University, I bought Steamed Mandu and it was so good. When I arrived in the restaurant, the place was still empty but soon there was some people coming to the restaurant. It was cold so having steamed mandu was really good. The portion was quite big too for KRW 6,000.

When I wandered around the area, I found a coffee shop that looks interesting from the shopfront. So, I decided to go inside the cafe and yes, the interior of this cafe was really nice, love the ambience, cozy place and felt warm, Waffle It Up, I ordered waffle with gelato and coffee (KRW 11,400). If you around the area, I recommend to visit this place, it was pretty crowded when I went there but still quite so you can still focus on your work or whatever.

THE HYUNDAI SEOUL

It's a brand new department store and apparently it's huge. I went around this department store just to look around with a friend of mine. Actually the top floor was nice where there was an event there and there were so many cafe as well. Anyway on the lower floor, there was an exhibition for some pop up store. We just went around for window shopping. Anyway, this shopping mall became more famous due to Queen of Tears drama in 2024.

YEOUIDO - Hangang River

From the store, I looked at the google maps and saw there was Yeouido Market so we went there to check it out. Once we arrived there, there was no such market. So, we ate ramen near the Hangang River, it was a nice experience to try while in Seoul. Just bought the ramen in the convenience store and cook by myself since they have ramen machine, aside Ramyeon, I also bought an egg and also Danmuji (I love this side dish), KRW 5,700. There's something interesting when you need to throw the trash because they have each trash bin that you need to follow, bit confusing though.

Back to Myeongdong and just wandered around before heading back to the hostel and since I will move to the different hostel tomorrow because I couldn't extend another day in this hostel since it was fully booked so I decided to book another hotel. I was supposed to leave to Daegu and stayed there tomorrow but suddenly there was Korean Music Festival tomorrow so I bought a ticket for that and cancelled my stay at Daegu.

The location for my hostel was pretty close with (Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station) like 5 minutes walk. I booked Calistar Hotel in 4-Bed Female Dormitory from April 25 - 30, 2023 (5 nights) total Rp 1,450,051 (Rp 290k/night). I like this hotel since it's clean and close to the station. Plus there were so many things to see around the hotel. Well, since it's in Myeongdong area, you can also find so many stores, restaurants or cafes, the one thing that I love is Olive Young just in the corner. But maybe the one thing that bothered me is the toilet, because it's located outside the room, it's public toilet on the 4th floor where the Hotel is located. Since the hotel is not stand alone building so there are some restaurant or cosmetic surgery clinics as well, etc. Here is the preview for Calistar Hostel :
