Day 9 - Thursday, 22 June 2017
I feel like I don't want to rush in Berlin, visiting places as much as I can and decided to be more relax during my trip in Europe, in this case, Berlin, I have no designated destination in that morning so I decided to explore around the neighborhood on the other side.

Let's say I will just do some park hopping for today and just walk around the area. Passing the Volkspark and I can say this park is soooo big. Volkspark Friedrichshain is a large urban park on the border of the Berlin neighborhoods of Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg. In this park you may find lot of monuments, sculptures and works of art. Lot of people do jogging, biking or just sitting there. It is also recommended to explore around Berlin by bike.

Guten Morgen, Berlin!

It's Germany already and this country already on my list since long time ago. I decided to take Free Walking Tour by Sandemans at Berlin because I have no idea what to visit in Berlin beside the Berlin Wall. I put my trolley backpack on the storage and checked out. Someone from the Free Walking Tour team will pick up those who joins the tour at several hostel. She pick us up around 10 AM and we walked into different hostel before heading to the meeting point at Brandenburg Gate area. We took the bus and I bought Tageskarte for Berlin AB (1 day) ticket, 7 euro.

Do you spotted the metal walkway on your left side? It's First Cliff Walk at Grindelwald, Switzerland :)
Day 7 - Tuesday, 20 June 2017

One night is not enough at Grindelwald, hope to stay longer in here. I checked out earlier and store my bags at their baggage storage, anyway it's Free. I am truly in love with this hostel, Mountain Hostel, I had my breakfast which I could tell was a fancy breakfast I ever had during my entire traveling when I stayed in hostel, so many choices of breakfast and everything is gut! Later on I guess I will write a review about this hostel because I had an amazing stay even it's just for a night.

I took a local bus where the bus stop, Grund is just next beside the hostel, I went to Firstbahn Bus Stop to take Cable Car to Grindelwald First. The journey took about 10-15 minutes from Grund to Firstbahn. I love the ambience here, when I get on the bus, I am the only one passenger. The driver will greeting you and it just made my day, I showed him my visitor's card but he got it already and said "It's okay, just get in" (while smiling). Anyway it's also common for a dog to get on the bus too, at first I was amazed when I saw a big dog get on to the bus with their owner. Lot of people take their dog with them and take a walk or even ride the bus hehe.

Europe 5/20 - Switzerland : Bern, Thun, Interlaken and Grindelwald

It's the most expensive country but yet here I am,
a Solo Female Backpacker having her "me time" as a reward for herself
Yes, it was super expensive but worth it :)
Amazing view at Grindelwald, Switzerland
Day 6 - Monday, 19 June 2017

SWITZERLAND = my kind of me time :)

BERN

I took overnight bus by Flixbus (cost 29 Euro) from Paris to Bern, Switzerland. Why Bern? Simply because I want to go to Switzerland and Bern was the cheapest option if I start my Switzerland trip from there. There was a moment when yeah, it was my bad when the bus stop at Geneva, Switzerland, I thought it would be like 15 minutes stop so I went out of the bus and did a quick stroll around area. And apparently it’s just really a quick stop and the driver actually want to drop off some passengers. So, after a quick stroll, I want to go back to the bus and I was surprised. The bus already moved and almost left me there, then I stopped the bus and phew! I got into the bus again and they asked me “Where you go?” I said “Bern.” I don’t know what will happen if I didn’t get into the bus that quickly and what happened if they already left, haha, so careless.

Europe 4/20 - France : Explore Paris in One Day [Pantheon, Notre Dame, Louvre, Montmartre]

"Be Brave. Take Risks.
Nothing Can Substitute Experience."

Louvre, Paris, France
Day 5 - Sunday, 18 June 2017

BONJOUR! :)

So, basically I will have a whole day for today in Paris. I was alone and planning to go to Pantheon, at first I planned to go there by Metro but when I went out from my friend's home, the weather was very nice so I decided to walk from Les Gobelins area. Found a local market along the way where the local people are busy shopping in this market and it's just really nice to stroll around that area.

Heading to Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter), why they named it Quartier Latin? Because it's the place where the first University, Sorbonne University and some colleges were located, we may can say this Quartier is the heart of student Paris. And during the Middle Ages, scholars spoke latin, courses were in latin so the district was called "Quartier Latin". At there, you will spot this big building called Pantheon, did I tell you that everything in Paris is really big? and yes indeed. Pantheon was originally built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve and after some changes they combines liturgical functions with its role as a famous burial place with most important people were buried there. (source : here)

Europe 3/20 - Netherlands, Belgium and France in One Day? What a Fancy Day!

Yes, you read the title right! I also can't believe it either :p
I might call it "The Art of Europe Trip" where in just One Day you can hop on 3 countries and feel so Fancy

Rembrant Mill since 1636, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Day 4 - Saturday, 17 June 2017

This morning would be very interesting because we are planning to do biking around the neighborhood and there was another windmill located not far from my friend's house. The weather was very nice in that morning. Got the bikes from the parking area and we rode bikes in the morning. Lucky me, my friend has 2 bikes. So, windmill and bikes are perfect combination to experience local life at Holland, yeay! so happy :D

I could tell how long Dutch people's legs are because it's quite difficult for me to reach the pedals especially when I tried to pedal it hehe. In addition, mostly their bikes break position also different with Indonesian one, it's not located on your hand position but on the pedal. Just pedal to the back and it's break already, so it's bit unusual. But I managed ride the bikes because I change with the one that have break in the hand position.

Europe 2/20 - Netherlands : Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Rijkmuseum, Dam Square

"Of all the books in the world,
the best stories are found between the pages of a passport."

Bibliotheque at Rijkmuseum, Amsterdam :)

Day 3 - Friday, 16 June 2017
My plan for that day was going to Zaanse Schans and Volendam, located at North Holland. I bought Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket already at the airport yesterday (18.5 Euro - 1 Day) so all set to go, the ticket included map and some information too. You can also pay the single ticket on the bus directly but since I will go to Volendam also, I prefer to buy this ticket. It's also valid for Metro, Bus or Tram in the city. From my friend's house I went to Amsterdam Central Station and from there I go directly to the bus station on the back side, at 2nd level.

The directory there is so clear so you won't missed it. I bought sandwich at Convenience Store inside the Station just in case. To go to Zaanse Schans, I will take Bus 391 at Platform E and get off at the last Bus Stop, Zaanse Schans. To use the ticket you need to validate for the first time using it. Mostly, you need to validate the ticket for the first time and after that you can just hop on and off into the bus/tram depend on ticket you bought, so basically it's based on trust and their culture.
