Day 1 - Saturday, January 14, 2023
We took grabcar to Gambir Station in the morning (Rp 82,500) and waiting for board the train. It's not too long like less than 3 hours ride to Cirebon. From the station we went to our Hotel by Grabcar (Rp 22k), Neo Hotel (Rp 446,172/night for 2 persons via Agoda) to put our baggage before check in time. But apparently the staff allowed us to early check in, so we can put our bags directly in our room. Just get ready before heading out again, even it's so hot but let's go.

It's culinary time in Cirebon, first stop is this chicken since I heard this chicken mostly sold out before 2 PM so without waiting any longer. We went to the place by Grabcar (Rp 19k). We ordered the chicken (Rp 25rb), I shared with my sister since we will eat a lot this time, so we need to manage our tummy space. It's actually just a cart on the sidewalk, and it's pretty crowded, so glad we can still get the chicken though without have to wait any longer but for sure people started queuing after we ordered and phew, we were just lucky.

Es Kopyor 4848
So it's like dessert for that day after eating that chicken, and it's perfect on that hot day. It's not far from the chicken place, took Gocar (Rp 19k). This is like one of legend culinary place in Cirebon since probably around 1960. So they have their own syrup and they also sell it, I tried the Kopyor for sure in glass (Rp 40k) and it's good, if I can come back, I would like to drink it again. One thing that catch my eyes were they put calendars on their wall, that's just so unique decoration.

We still felt very full so we didn't want to eat for a while, then we decided maybe we can go check this place and see what's there. We took Grabcar (Rp 24k), and we paid for the entrance fee (Rp 15k). Goa Sunyaragi is Historic site resembling a cave with gardens, built by the sultans of Cirebon for rest & meditation (source. google). So, we explored this area, it's quite big so we spent some time there.

Nasi Jamblang Bu Nur
Okay, now we're ready to eat again, we too Grab from Goa Sunyaragi (Rp 42.5k) to this Nasi Jamblang Bu Nur. When we arrived, this place is so crowded that we need to queue to order this homestyle Indonesian food. There are so many dishes that you can choose there, I tried the black squid but I didn't really like it to be honest. Overall it's just not my cup of tea.

Keraton Kasepuhan
Another place to go on that day, we took a Gocar (Rp 19k), Keraton Kasepuhan is Grand palace of the Sultan of Kasepuhan built in 1447 with areas open to the public & a museum. (source. google). Entrance Fee is Rp 20k/person. We just wandered around in that Keraton and going to this building where they have Aircon inside. From there we saw this Batik Trusmi - Sinta Manisan from the maps and since I thought it's not that far so we decided to walk there and we found out it's not that interesting to shop there.

Paper & Sip Coffee
I found this random cafe from the maps so we took another Gocar (Rp 19k) and so glad we came here. The place is so cozy, with Aircon inside so we waited there for a while. The interior is really nice, we almost didn't get our indoor seats but luckily we still got it. We still have no idea where to go tomorrow so we just browsed there and find some interesting place to go tomorrow, so we decided maybe we could just rent a car for tomorrow, then we searched through Instagram and try to find rent car for tomorrow.

Mie Koclok Panjuran
Next, we will try this noodle, another Gocar (Rp 19k) to get here. I felt this noodle was like Mie Atep in Belitung, but I like this noodle, This noodle shop is not that big. This is another recommendation from my sister.

Batik Trusmi
It's night already and we heard there is this place sell Batik and it's quite big, Batik Trusmi, so we decided to go there. (Gocar Rp 41k). Apparently this store is very big and we kind of losing track of time there. The price was also affordable, I think my friend shopped a lot and since we came when the store will closed so we didn't have much time. Anyway, this store is recommended.

Empal Gentong Apud
During our way to Batik Trusmi, we saw this restaurant so we decided to stop by before going back to our hotel, it's also well known dish to try in Cirebon. (Grabcar Rp 20k). It's full of smoke when we arrived but this restaurant was still crowded on that night. We ordered Empal Gentong and surprisingly it's so tasty, (total Rp 170k). From there we were heading back to hotel. (Grabcar Rp 29k).
