"I love you when I saw you.
When I touch you. When I feel you.
When I fall in love"
Tonight - TVXQ
sooooo extremely happy finally I got to see them again after many years~~~~
This is my 3rd time going to this country. I applied Multiple Visa (Rp1,332,000) this time so I got 5 years, the process was so fast. After I got my visa, I also checked Korean Tour Organization and there was another FIT (Free Independent Traveler) program again so I made an appointment with them to go to their office, submit and redeem my application (copy of flight tickets, copy of hotel reservations, copy of passport and copy of Korean visa), filled survey and got some freebies, including T-Money with KRW 10,000 balance and some discount coupon book.

Penang 3/3 - Explore Penang by Bicycle and How much the Budget for Penang Trip?

"Only I can change my life.
No one can do it for me."
-Carol Burnett

Day 3 - Monday, 17 December 2018

Wake up in the morning and realize today is my last day at Penang. I am heading back to Penang Street Art, having breakfast along the way, Tiger Hokkien Prawn Mie (RM 4.5) and Teh Tarik (RM 1.9), it's so delicious. I walked around and decided to rent a bike, it is really cheap like RM 3 for 3 hours, with deposit (I forgot how much).

Cycling around Penang area is really good, it's really hot so when you take the bike you will feel less hot since you feel the wind when you on the bike. I don't know where to go so I just go wherever I want to. I also go for another mural hunting. It takes about 2.5 hours then I went back to the Bike rent to return my bike, anyway I rent it at Penang Street Art, across the mural of cats "love me like you fortune cat" at Lebuh Armenian Street.

Penang 2/3 - Clan Jetties and Penang Hills (Bukit Bendera)

"When one door closes, another opens;
But we often look so long and so
regretfully upon the closed door
that we do not see the one
that has opened for us."
-Alexander Graham Bell

Day 2 - Sunday, 16 December 2018

Heading again to Penang Street Art and I keep walking to Clan Jetties of Penang, it's like a floating small village. I wander around and having my lunch around there, I had Char Kuo Teaw (RM 6) for lunch. Beside village, you will find some stalls selling meals, snacks or souvenirs.

From there I went back to my guesthouse passing again the Street Art, I think I keep coming back to this area haha since it's just interesting area to look around, I bought couple things at Komtar and then I went back to my guesthouse for a while and good things to have is in front of my guesthouse there is a small stall selling famous coffee called Kopi Bintang, Bintang means star since the lady always put star sign in front of the coffee, It's interesting to see how she made and it taste good.

Penang 1/3 - Good Deal Flight for Short Weekend Getaway at Penang

Hallo I am back after few months writing my travel diaries and I have so many things to share here :) -MJ
one of Mural Street at Penang
This city was one of my wishlist so I am glad to make this trip happened. I kind of need a short weekend getaway so this trip would be perfect. I went to Penang, Malaysia on Saturday, 15 - Monday, 17 December 2018 (3D/2N). I booked the ticket just few days before, like on Wednesday so this is like impulsive buying trip since I still got a good deal, Rp 890,000 for return trip include baggage 10kg, direct flight. I took Citilink for this trip, well the flight was a very good deal for 3 days before D-day *grin*

I decided to have 3 days at Penang after asked some friends how many days would be the best to visit Penang, most people said 2 - 3 days are enough. I have no idea what or where to visit at Penang beside Street Mural hunting. So, I decided to think about that later when I arrived. This time I go solo traveling, so another me time.

Day 5 - Thursday, 15 October 2018

It's almost the end of our trip, huhu, bit sad if I remember to go back to reality, haha, this morning we will go to Tanarara Hill, another hill to check while at Sumba. Get ready to go and when arrived there. Wow, it's another beauty of Sumba that been offered to us. Such a different side of Sumba Island yet still beautiful. We enjoyed the view, taking pictures, going crazy on that hill since nobody is there but us.

Sumba 3/4 - Tanggedu Waterfall, Puru Kambera and Sakura at Sumba!

"Believe in yourself, even if you feel like turning back
at times. Don't run away. Little by little you will get
closer to achieving your dreams. "
-Yunho, TVXQ
Sakura at Sumba Island, Indonesia
Day 4 - Thursday, 14 October 2018

Our first destination for today is Tanggedu Waterfall at East Sumba, it was such a long way to arrive to Tanggedu Waterfall, the view was spectacular. It's like having a road trip where on your left and right side were just savanna or I can say a little wild savanna since you will spotted a lot of wild animals live freely. Along the way we stopped at few points to take pictures since the view is really nice and totally different with Indonesia that we used to see.

In the middle of savanna, we spotted Konjil Tree (Konjil Flowers) which looks like Sakura or Cherry Blossoms and that was soooo beautiful that made us stop and take pictures with that tree. The pinkish color made the tree looks so pretty.

Sumba 2/4 - Rumah Budaya, Prai Ijing Village, Lapopu Waterfall and Wairinding Hill

"Those who are destined to meet will eventually do so."
- Doctors, Korean Drama

Beautiful view at Wairinding Hill
Day 3 - Saturday, 13 October 2018

We stayed already at Rumah Budaya and this Rumah Budaya is actually part of itinerary because they have museum to learn some of Sumba's cultures. There are 2 building for the museum but at that time there was only one museum that opened.

The guide of the museum telling us some stories of Sumba Cultures, he said most of Sumba's people still uphold the Animism belief or they call it Marapu. For the traditional house, you can see if the house has an unique shape like they have high roof. It's separate from 3 parts, lower part for animals, middle part for human and higher part for the harvest.

'Azure Window' at Sumba Island, Bwana Beach :D
I still have my annual leaves in 2018 like 8 days so I decided to join my friends to Sumba Island, we join open trip and the trip itself took 5 days 4 nights. Sumba Island is part of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT-Nusa Tenggara Timur) province in Indonesia. It's my first time exploring East Indonesia, the east that I ever been maybe Makassar. This time trip to Sumba Island from Thursday 11th - Tuesday 16th of October, 2018 (6D/5N). Start from Tambolaka Airport and end up at Waingapu Airport so from West Sumba to East Sumba, transit at Bali. At first I was a bit worry because there were earthquake at Lombok (next to Bali), and the aftershock were happened so many times like hundred times, and there were also earthquake and also Tsunami at Palu (Center Sulawesi). And few days before we go to Sumba, there were earthquake near Sumba so I have my doubt to continue this journey or not, I tried to not overthink that and keep going.

Day 1 - Thursday, 11 October 2018

We decided to go earlier than schedule, the flight from Jakarta to Bali (transit) then to Sumba Island, Tambolaka Airport. My flight was at 7.45 AM from Jakarta (CGK) to Denpasar, Bali (DPS) about 2 hours then at 12.50 fly to Waikabubak, Sumba Island at Tambolaka Airport (TMC) flight took an hour and 10 minutes. The airplanes from DPS was small and it was my first time using Garuda Indonesia in small version, anyway we took Garuda Indonesia, I bought the flight for Rp 1,031,500 such a good deal.
