Bandung 2023 1/2 : Cafe & Coffee Hopping #gemeztrip

Day 1 - Thursday, February 9, 2023

This time we went to Bandung, we took the early train (Argo Parahyangan) at 6.40 AM from Gambir Station, the journey took around 2 hours and 40 minutes. Actually since we have MRT in Jakarta, it's really make my life much easier, so when I especially need to go to center area, mostly I will commute with MRT because I could easily estimating my time arrival. That's why I also took MRT to go to Gambir Station, I took Online Taxi to Fatmawati MRT Station, and then go to the last station, Bundaran HI MRT and another Taxi to the Station, just stop the available taxi from the exit MRT. I couldn't stand the traffic if I need to go by Online Taxi directly from my house and again I couldn't estimate my time arrival.

Bellamie Boulangerie

Our first stop at Bandung for breakfast since we couldn't early check in anyway. Only 15 minutes from Bandung Station. This place was already quite full when we arrived there, I had a coffee and croissant, it's good though. We stayed there until lunch time, since some of us need to work while others taking day off.

Dapoer Pandan Wangi

It's lunch time and Sundanese restaurant always be a good choice while you visit Bandung. This place also quite packed when we arrived there but we didn't wait too long until be seated. We ordered some dishes and surprisingly they have this tasty dish made of eggplants, we enjoyed it too much.

Vilo Gelato

Finished with our lunch, we headed to our accommodation area and tried to find cafe around while waiting for check in time and continue to work again. We spotted Vilo Gelato and decided to wait there, the ambience of that cafe was kind into Grandma's house vibes, humble yet homey. Anyway it was also raining when we arrived at the cafe. I bought Baileys ice cream and Lemongrass.

Waroeng Ethnic

Since our accommodation is located not in center area so we decided to find nearby restaurant to have dinner. And it's an awesome choice to eat in this restaurant. It's not a fancy restaurant but more like family restaurant. Everything that we ordered were all delicious, worth the price, the menu is too vary to choose that we took some time before deciding what to order, they have from Western Food until Indonesian Food. Definitely will come back if I have a chance, they really have a good food.

Kopi Eyang

We passed this coffee shop when we went to restaurant since it's located along the way and next to the restaurant, so we kind of intrigued by this coffee shop and finally we bought this coffee, take away and drink it at our hotel. The coffee is sooo good, definitely a good cup of coffee with reasonable price that I will recommend you to try. It's an open area with many greens surrounding that cafe, since they have garden inside.

Where we stayed?

Art Deco Luxury Hotel & Residence

We booked the place via Airbnb (Rp 3,089,311/night for 6 persons), we actually stayed there few years ago in 2019 but in different unit. The interior was pretty similar with previous unit, apparently it is the same owner. The previous unit only has jacuzzi while this one has mini swimming pool with floating flamingo, located at the ground floor and has backyard with a swing so it's nice. We bought some snacks and eating there, also not forget to night swimming before bed.
