Korea 2023 4/15 : Visiting Mr. Sunshine Filming Location in Nonsan - Sunshine Studio

NONSAN - Sunshine Studio

Last time back to 2019 I went to Nonsan to visit Sunshine Studio and it was closed. We went there but didn't notice their opening days. So based on that experience I made sure it's open when I went there this time, they closed on Wednesday. The filming location looks so nice that I was still curious to go inside and decided to go again even though I went there alone this time. The filming location is located in Nonsan. I will go for day trip only from Seoul.

I went to Nonsan by KTX, from Myeongdong (Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station), I was heading to Yongsan Station, because I checked the website, I can take KTX to Nonsan from Yongsan. I bought the KTX ticket at the station, cost KRW 28,100. I bought my ticket at 7.35 AM and taking the train 7.42 AM haha so I should be fast catching my train, need to walk fast.

The journey took around 1.5 hours to Nonsan, from Nonsan Station I took the local bus to Sunshine Studio (Sunshine Land) for another an hour. Once I got off, I walked for about 10 - 15 minutes. I didn't find anyone when I walked to the location, probably most people took car or taxi. Once I arrived I feel relieved and bought the ticket at the locket (KRW 10,000). They gave me a map where you can see directory for some scenes in the Mr. Sunshine series.

Yayy..let's get inside

The filming location was quite big that I explored for about 2 - 3 hours there. There were few buildings, from the Glory Hotel, bread store, bar, tailor shop, the bridge, the train etc. It was well maintained and not so many people when I went there. I think this filming location was still use for some series or movies because I watched some drama and still familiar with the location there.

At some buildings, they put some pictures of the series so you can see where the scene took place, so you can take picture exact at the location. They also turn on the OST from the series, it was a very nice experience. I love that filming location.

After some time, it's time to go back to Seoul, so I went back to Nonsan Station and this time I'll go with Mugunghwa Train to Yongsan (KRW 13,500) because I wasn't in a rush and cheaper than KTX (almost 3 hours by Mugunghwa).

MYEONGDONG

I will just wanderer around Myeongdong at night since I also meeting my ex. Korean teacher, it was nice seeing her again. I remember I stayed at her house when I went to Korea for the first time in 2012, time flies and so glad to see her again. Even though I met her again before when she went to Jakarta. We catched up at Coffee Shop called You Are Here Cafe for some coffee before having dinner together.

We had Korean BBQ at Myeongdong area, 목우촌웰빙마을 명동점 (Mogucheon Wellbeing Maeul). The meat were so tasty and I was so full. It was lovely to meet her again after long time. Take care Kim-ssaem!

Ohh anyway finally I went to Myeongdong Cathedral when I wandered around with ssaem, it was my first time to visit the Cathedral. Like finally I went there after some time visiting Korea.
