Bandung 2022 : One Day Trip to Ciwidey, Kawah Putih & Ranca Upas

Why visiting this place? well, another curiosity of mine with a place called Ranca Upas, where you can find most people taking some pictures with those deer. So I booked an Open Trip for 1 day only to go to Ciwidey, Bandung. We tried different travel agent this time, the meeting point was at KEB Hana Bank Semanggi at 4.30 AM. I went there with my sister, we paid Rp 212,5k/person via Explorer.

Kawah Putih

We picked up some people following the meeting point that they chose and off to Ciwidey, the journey took around 3 - 4 hours. Apparently this Kawah Putih is different already from my last visit. To go up there, the place provides shuttles to go up. Back then, the car or public transportation can go up directly but this no, park the car down there then take the shuttles to go up. The smoke wasn't pretty bad but they suggest to wear the mask if you can't stand the smell. There are few spots but this time you have to pay entry fee for each spots if you want to inside and we didn't take it. There are also some photographers that will offer you to take your pictures with their professional camera. We took that and had a bit photo sessions, finished with the photo sessions, choose the pictures, pay and we got the photos (soft copy). I forgot how much we paid for the photos, if I am not mistaken Rp 10k/picture. It was pretty crowded on that day, we just explored the area.

Pinisi Resto

Our second destination and also to have lunch, Pinisi Resto, you can see this Pinisi boat and that's the restaurant inside, you can also explore the area. We rode Golesat (Rp 50k - exclude from the fee), it's pretty fun but the circuit was just too short. The air was so refreshing and so many green to look at. We ate at Pinisi Resto, and it's raining.

Ranca Upas

Last touristy place for that day, I never thought the place was actually not too big, You can feed the deer there, buy some carrots on the entrance and find the deer and feed them. Since it's after the rain so the ground was just still wet and muddy. The rain keep coming and go. We just explored the place, not too long then we went too our last destinations to buy some snacks if you want.

Just a short weekend getaway but it's just fun to visit new place and being away from the city even just for a day. Thank you for reading my travel diaries.
