Sukabumi 2022 : The Longest Suspension Bridge in South-East Asia, Situ Gunung, Sukabumi
"Trust the timing of your life"
crossing the longest suspension bridge |
I actually already registered for another Open Trip by Travel Buddies to Situ Gunung. We supposed to go on November but it was delayed to December. I went there with my sister and mom. I paid Rp 190k/person for this trip.
Situ Gunung
We arrived after 4-5 hours from Jakarta, we chose Semanggi for our meeting point. When you enter the area, they provided welcome drink and snacks, you can also enjoy the view before heading to the first suspension bridge. This place also offer different kind of route, you can do trekking to Lembah Purba but this time we didn't go there. There were motor taxi available inside that actually part of the service, so it's pretty convenient.
Suspension Bridge
Apparently the suspension bridge has set their own record to be the longest in South-East Asia with around 400m length. The officer will help you to put the safety gear before you cross the bridge. You can feel the breeze and shaking when you walk on it. Well, it took a while until we reach the finish line due the distance.
can you spotted another bridge in this picture? |
such a long way to go |
Curug Sawer
This place is kids friendly because I found so many family in this trip. We went to Curug Sawer and I just remembered that I've been to this waterfall before. It looks a bit different with some development. We had lunch there and we ate quite a lot then we took a line for Keranjang Sultan, the line was pretty long and we waited for a while. The distance is not that far and they have like 4 seats that keep going back and forth. It was short ride yet still fun though.
Anyway they have another Suspension Bridge with red carpet, the length is shorter than the first one. We passed it pretty quick.
we're going to ride that too |
another suspension bridge with red carpet |
Our last stop was this lake, so we hopped back in to the Elf car then we go to the lake. They parked the car then we took motor taxi heading to the lake. Once we arrived at the lake, there was downpour so we just waited on the shelter for a while. I also already visited this lake when I went to Curug Sawer. Well, the lake was not very special that we only there to wait for the rain stopped. As usual before we heading back to Jakarta, they will stop at a place for souvenirs or snacks.
it's downpour |
finally the rain stopped |
cilok! yummy |
Another healing time, the trekking wasn't that bad and it's just nice experience to try crossing that longest suspension bridge.
Thank you for reading my travel diaries. See you!
Cheers,
